A woman who broke the silence barrier…
a woman who woke up from the deathbed which almost shot her
body dead in an attempt to steal her most precious things she
owned for her siblings.. but she won the battle. May be
thirty-seven bullets have penetrated her body, and the wasteland
was her only way… but she struggled and survived…
Life has ravaged her.. however, her
ravaged life kept away in a devastative corner of her heart… to
teach us how we can search for a place where we can leave the
worries and pain around us and meet people with a smile full of
hope.. and to teach us how to leave this life winners not
losers!
A woman who reflected the real image
of resistance, struggle and the defending of homeland and human
being whose blood is of great value! But she had to pay her
freedom of movement a price for such values and get, in return,
a wheelchair, diapers, and some plastic bags for the rest of her
life… yet she did not mind!
An Israeli tank monitored her
movements and knew that she was harboring some national security
guards to protect them in times of incursions. One fine day, she
went harvesting some food to prepare the lunch carrying her
little baby with her when suddenly the Israeli tank opened its
mass destructive fires at her leaving her with thirty-seven
250mm bullets in her body. All she cared about at that moment
was her little baby whom she believed to have lost his limbs.
But when she realized that he was fine, she made the testimony
thinking that she will surely die.. but destiny played its role
and she survived to narrate this story that taught her a lot of
lessons for life!
After becoming disabled for the rest
of her life, she got divorced, the matter that doubled the
burdens on her shoulders as she became the breadwinner and the
householder of a family of seven members.
Her small poor and damaged house, that
does not fit for humans to live in, consists of only two
bedrooms with no windows or doors except for some pieces of
plastic as a door.
She is a mother like all the other
mothers but the only difference is that she has partial polio.
She sacrificed for her children and will sacrifice even more if
she has to.
When asked about how she spends her
day, she proudly said: “I’m a mother of school children, and I
do everything I can to ensure they feel comfortable.. it’s me
who bakes, cocks, feeds them, does the laundry and all the house
work, and it’s me also who medicates my children when they are
sick. It’s me who gives my children love and care” . Then she
sighed and sadly said: “Because I’m their mother and because I
care for them, I crawl to serve my children… but what if I died?
Who else would look after my children except for Allah!” .
One day I was a mother for all
people.. I protected them… covered them… and I welcomed them in
my house to protect them from certain death…I paid a high price
for that, but I am proud of myself for doing so.
This is the real profit I
have ever gained in whole my life.
"I appeal to everyone who has
conscious to come and observe my ordeal along with my sons whose
the only breadwinner is me. I am of no might now. My calamity
shall tell you how much I suffer"
. Randa beseeches to the world.
She is a women, has given much to
her country, she sacrificed her soul, recognizing the danger
that could revolve her .However, she has continued her struggle
till the last life. Perhaps a lot of you have heard about her
glorious heroism with the Palestinian militants. She is the
disabled combatant, Zeinab Abdel Salam Al-Faleet. |
