NCCR Take Part in Academic Day

Entitled" Family is Nucleus of Rehabilitation"

The National Center for Community Rehabilitation took part in an academic day under the title " Family is the Nucleus of Rehabilitation" that was held by the rehabilitation department in Gaza College of Applied Sciences and Technology , with the attendance of the head of the department, Mr. Mohammed Hmaid , some researchers, representatives of rehabilitation organizations, tens of students.

The NCCR presented a worksheet entitled" Rehabilitation of the disabled between the family and the organization" whereas it handled the role of the family in implementing , and applying any rehabilitative program. Mr. Hani Abu Zaid, specialist of rehabilitative at the center, pointed out that the family is the first haven of the disabled person. The family directly affects the disabled person's life and future , in correspondence with his/her psychological and emotional aspects . He also confirmed that it is impossible for any trainer or specialist to train the disabled person apart from his/her family , the main source of care.

Furthermore, the worksheet shed the light on the role of the organizations in rehabilitation, and the significance of inclusive education and its means since it is regarded core of a good society.

At the end, Mr. Abu Zaid stated that rehabilitation process in Palestine rank the level of developed countries by the recognition of the World Health Organization, international centers of rehabilitation, and researchers.
