NCCR in, Khanyounis, Conduct Lecture On Psychologically Overcoming of Disability and Integrating the Disabled into Societ. The National Center for Community Rehabilitation hold a lecture on how to psychologically overcome the disability and integrate the disabled into society ; targeting 60 of disabled people and their families in Khanyounis . The lecture was hold at the center's branch in Khanyounis in the framework of community awareness program that targets all society segments ; whereas the program concerns basically works on awareness in marginalized and other less aware places . The lecture handled the definition of disability , disabled person and reasons beyond disability . Moreover , Yassmine Zaurob , a psychologist in home care program , clarified certain practices of help that the disabled individual needs to be assisted by members of his own family , and she also explained stages of shock , denial , anger ,remorse, and disability recognition in which each disabled one experiences to finally seek out how to help the disabled . Throughout , confirmed on the family's role in helping the disabled in adapting with his own disability , in addition to responsibility of the society in supporting and helping the disabled. Likewise, she also raised other problems and obstacles that may the disabled individual face during his integration into society . Zourob accordingly added that society has to recognize rights of disabled people as normal citizens ; these rights include integrate health prevention , giving opportunity of education , providing them with medical , psychological , and social services that can be titled by the Law of the Disabled which still unfulfilled. The lecture then touched the definition of integration to be described as the social and educational integration of the disabled with other normal people at all different community activities . It also talked about forms of integration . After all and at the end of the lecture , there was an open discussion for the disabled and families in order to raise their questions and inquiries . |
