NCCR Participate in Bazaar Held by

 UNRWA on Occasion of World Women's Day

   The National Center for Community Rehabilitation participated in a bazaar held by the UNRWA in cooperation with General Union of Cultural Centers, whereas the disabled people's own productions were displayed in Beach Camp Girls' Prep. School "A" in Gaza.

   Mr. John Ging, Director of operations in the UNRWA extended his pleasure to these productions of the disabled. Sawsan Al-Khalely , Coordinator of vocational workshop at the center, delivered a speech raising the center's activities and programs. Likewise, she put forth concerns and problems of the disabled in the Gaza Strip along with their rights which are still marginalized in the society.

   It is noteworthy that the NCCR has two workshops in Gaza and Khanyounis of vocational training on drawing on glass, granite, and pottery and embroidery. The workshops target the physically disabled and deaf people of both genders for training and rehabilitation them, particularly those who have received medical and psychological rehabilitation from the medical teams . The center works on completing the rehabilitation process of the disabled in preparation of creating job opportunities for them through marketing their productions in exhibitions that could foster their activity and contribute in integrating them into their society, that consequently alleviate their families' psychological and social pressures.
