Mrs. Anja Meulenbelt,
chairperson of Kifaia Foundation, and Mr. Deny De Jong,
Ideeel Association, were the representatives of a Dutch
delegation who visited the National Center for Community
Rehabilitation in order to make a comprehensive evaluation
to Home Care Program in all branches of the National Center,
in addition to technically follow up the reports and
proposals.
Furthermore, the
Dutch delegation's visit lasted for three days in which they
visited branches of the National Center in Gaza, Middle and
Southern governorates. They also met with teams of Home Care
Program in each branch in an effort to make a comprehensive
evaluation which handles all matters related to the disabled
people in Gaza Strip, especially to the physically disabled
cases that are psychologically and medically followed; in
addition to the allocated files for each case of the
disabled people.
Additionally,
meetings with Mr. Deny tackled the effects of present
circumstances in Gaza Strip on the disabled people within
such a clear increase of numbers of disabilities.
Consequently, the NCCR suffers from a big stress in
receiving increased number of cases who need care and
assistive devices.
All the way through
a meeting with the NCCR's administration, Mr. Deny discussed
the mechanism to overcome all the difficulties that the
disabled people face, such as the shortage of medical
materials, assistive devices and other needs. It is worthy
to mention that it was a very positive and constructive
meeting in which everyone had his own ideas and suggestions
due to providing more services for disabled Palestinians .
