The National Center
for Community Rehabilitation distributed shirts to 250
disabled persons in the Gaza Strip at all branches in the
northern governorate, the middle governorate, Gaza, and the
southern governorate.
Mr. Khaled Abu Zaid, chairperson
of the NCCR, pointed out that it is obvious to everybody the
tragic circumstances under which Gaza Strip suffer from
Israeli siege, crossings closure and the unavailability of
job opportunities, which accordingly lead to the rise of
poor, needy, and humanitarian cases. He also pointed that
these assistance came to reduce the burden especially upon
the families of the disabled to their special and high
costs' needs.
It is worthy to mention that the
National Center for Community Rehabilitation provides its
voluntary and humanitarian services like medical,
psychological, social rehabilitation, community awareness
and guidance to hundreds of physically and psychologically
disabled in Gaza Strip through the center's three branches
to empower the disabled to play an active and effective role
and to contribute in building a better Palestinian society.
