The National Center for Community
Rehabilitation held a lecture about (Children's Behavioral
Problems and Domestic Violence) for mothers of the children
who suffer from speech/language and hearing problems. 20
mothers attended the lecture which was held in the Center's
headquarter in Khan Younis.
The lecture discussed
defining violence in general and domestic violence in
particular. It also handled types of domestic violence and
the most vulnerable segment for it, in addition to types
exploitation and its results and influence over the
children's behavior.
The discussion was highly
opened with the mothers who confirmed the importance of the
lecture at this time. Additionally, they raised many points
and questions, some of them were directed to the female
psychiatrist about ways to deal with their deaf sons.
This lecture comes as a part
of awareness and guidance lectures the Center holds
regularly. These lectures target women in particular to
raise their awareness of problems and needs of the disabled.
