The National Center for Community Rehabilitation launched a new branch in the middle governorate, for the purpose to serve the physically disabled in the middle governorate by the teams of home care program.

It is remarkable to say home care program works on providing medical, psychological , and guiding services , and assistive devices to the physically  disabled and their families, specially those of paraplegia and quadriplegia , who suffer from bedsores, muscles spasm, and other heath complications. This program benefits disabled people ob both genders and all ages, and is based on conducting home visits though well-trained , and specialized  medical teams, comprising ( a physician, a nurse, a physiotherapist ,  a psychologist, and a socialist) . Providing such services is associated with training the families on the basics of  home care for their disabled dependents.

Mr. Khaled Abu Zaid,  the chairman of the NCCR, stated that launching a new branch aims at  presenting facilities to the families in the middle governorate, and enabling the medical team to present services to those families. Likewise,  Abu Zaid pointed out that the reason for launching the this branch is improving and developing the medical and services, presented to the physically disabled in the middle governorate, along with fostering community awareness about the disabled people's rights and concerns, and raising levels of awareness about causes of disabilities and ways for preventing it. This is to mention that the NCCR has two branches: one in Gaza, while the other is in the southern governorate with a view to target all disabled people in all governorates.
