1. The Mobile Medical Unit of the NCCR provided quick hearing examinations to 4000 kinder garden children in order to early detect any hearing problems. It's worthy mentioning that this unit, MMU, targets marginalized zones. This project received fund from Kinderpostzegels foundation. 2. The NCCR received 50 hearing aids from the Dutch Lillian Fond Association, and distributed them among 32 children, who have hearing problems, for free. 3. Completing the field surveying project by surveying all the disabled people in the Gaza Governorate and both governorates of the south from house to house. 1062545 people were surveyed by 50 well-trained physicians, doctors, and Psychologists. The working team filled detailed applications that identify the problems and needs of the disabled people. The number of disabled detected was 19750 people, while the number of people who need optical glasses was 28308 people. The duration of this project is 18 months. 4. The European Academy in Germany provided the NCCR with 1500 schoolbags with stationery, and 700 optical glasses to school students at the refugee camps. 5. Holding three training courses targeting the medical teams of the Home Care of Disabled Project by a specialized Dutch team. 6. The NCCR provided hearing and ear examinations to 100 community people, and provided 60 persons of them with hearing aids. 7. Providing educational services and language/speech reformation sessions to 50 children who suffer from different problems with language and speech. 8. Launching a new branch of the Deaf and Language programs in the eastern villages of Khan Younis City. 9. Launching the Creative Woman Program that targets creative women in all fields and especially the literary field. |
